OUR
PURPOSE

The purpose of the Singapore Community of Practice in Social Prescribing (SCOMP)  is to foster a dynamic and collaborative ecosystem where diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community leaders,  researchers, and individuals come together to collectively advance the understanding, implementation, and impact of social prescribing interventions. The CoP serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging best practices, and co-creating innovative strategies that enhance well-being, strengthen community connections, and promote holistic health through the integration of arts, culture, and community engagement.

VISION

Through vibrant interactions and meaningful partnerships, SCOMP envisions a future where social prescribing becomes an integral and accessible part of healthcare, enhancing quality of life, addressing health disparities, and promoting inclusive well-being. Members will be inspired to cultivate a culture of learning, advocacy, and continuous improvement, leading the way in shaping effective and sustainable social prescribing practices that positively impact individuals, communities, and society as a whole.

THE APPROACH

Providing training, workshops, and keynote speaker sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of practitioners involved in social prescribing.

Creating and maintaining resources, toolkits, guidelines and other educational materials and making them accessible to all practitioners and participants

Inviting experts from social prescribing and related fields to share insights, research, and experiences to enrich the collective knowledge of SCOMP.

Members actively engage in peer-to-peer mentoring and knowledge sharing to address challenges and explore innovative solutions.
